Started in 1993, India Habitat Centre co-hosted its first Habitat Summit in 2009 which was a communication vehicle to address key policies issues for positive changes by community-oriented urban renewal projects. The architect Joseph Allen Stein transformed it into an urban design project with common Meeting Rooms, Restaurants, Hotels, Museums, Shared Parking Areas, some of which are open to general public.
The Capital’s cultural hub is a host of various plays, Art Exhibitions, Office Workshops, Corporate Luncheon, Music concerts and many more. With four galleries, six restaurants, a sprawling Atrium and an Amphitheater, it is well utilized by the most civilized set of Delhi’s population.
The quiet space with abstract landscape sculptures let the couples enjoy sitting by the pools or on plaza steps. You will find college students occupying amphitheater for the rehearsals of their play or its Galleries are explored by the art-lovers. And amidst all, if you feel hungry, Indian Habitat Centre has a lot to offer that will satiate your food cravings to its best.
There are five restaurants available within the centre – Past Times, Delhi ‘o’ Delhi, The Deck, The All American Diner and Oriental Octopus. While four of them are reserved for members only, The American Diner is available for general public.
